Why would you ever want to make hoisin sauce at home when you can easily get it from an online store or any Asian market? The answer is that it tastes a hundred times better.
We pan roasted some duck breasts. Scored the skin and then seared, skin side down in a very hot frying pan for three minutes. When seared we popped the pan into an oven at 180 for 15 minutes to cook through. Just before serving we poured the Housin Sauce over the breasts and served with brown rice. Wonderful quick and tasty supper.
